Our Story
About Us:
We are a father and son team.
We both have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior and find so much joy and peace of mind in that relationship that we desire others to experience the same.
A daily, personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important goal that all should have.
Getting to know someone, at a distance, requires talking on the phone and reading letters.
Likewise, getting to know Christ requires talking to Him (prayer) and reading His love letters (the Bible). You must get to know Him before you can fall in love with Him.
We believe that, to God, freedom of choice is so important that He is willing to risk everything for all to have it. Lucifer and Eve, who were in a perfect environment when they made wrong choices, is proof. Only when we have freedom of choice can we truly love God, which is why He risked all, including His death on the cross, for us to have it.
We believe that God wants a loving relationship with all.
We believe it is important for all to study the Bible so that all can make an informed choice.
Our Method of Determining Truth:
We are not concerned about what beliefs are popular and accepted by most Christians. We only want to know what the Bible truth is.
We believe that Bible study is very much like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. All pieces need to be fit together to see the true picture.
The Bible is like a multi-pictured puzzle. The pieces to a single topic all fit together and all the individual subjects fit together. For example, what the Bible has to say about God’s loving character should fit together with what the Bible has to say about Hell fire etc.
We believe that the Bible should be allowed to explain itself and avoid man’s opinions. In the Bible God promises to preserve it and therefore, it is the only source of truth that can be trusted to not be influenced by Satan in some way.
When there is an apparent contradiction which requires an alternate understanding, then the alternate should be found in the Bible.
Your Constructive Critique is Important to Us
If you feel that we have left out an important Bible text, then please share it with us. If what we wrote could be made clearer, then suggest how.
We thank you ahead of time for your help.
About the Author
When I was in my thirties, around fifty years ago, I asked myself, “why do I believe what I believe about the Bible?” Because Bible truth is the only thing that mattered to me, I started testing all that I believe by the Bible. All my studies are the results of searching to know what the Bible teaches. My son is the one working with the Journal part of the website as he feels led by the Holy Spirit.
I am not a minister, just a layman who loves my Savior with all my soul, heart, and mind. I have made more than my share of mistakes through the years but have found peace of mind in God’s loving forgiveness.
I pray that these studies will be a blessing to you as you sincerely study the Bible for the reasons for what you believe.
Our Beliefs
We stand on the foundational truths of the Christian faith:
The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith.
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live out their faith and grow in holiness.
The Church is the body of Christ, called to love, serve, and proclaim the Gospel to the world.
Why We Study the Bible
God reveals His will, His love, and His redemptive plan through the pages of Scripture. Studying the Bible draws us closer to Him, equips us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and strengthens our ability to discern truth in a complex world. At Bible Truth Ministry, we want to help make that journey joyful and fulfilling for you.
